It's official: After a 13 year absence, Fox has inked a deal with Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny and series creator Chris Carter to bring back The X-Files as a special six episode event series.
“I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” said Carter. "The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.”
